From 27 January 2026, BREEAM New Construction Version 7 (NC V7) takes effect for all newly registered projects in the UK. V7 is fully aligned with the EU Taxonomy and ESG reporting frameworks, and makes whole‑life carbon assessment mandatory for top‑rated projects. BREEAM's assessment of building materials focuses on raw material extraction, production energy use, carbon emissions, indoor environmental quality, and recyclability.
Export response: Container products exported to the UK and European markets need to systematically compile whole‑life environmental data, with priority given to obtaining EPD certification to meet BREEAM requirements.
