How do you meet the requirements for the European CE mark?

European clients often prioritize "compliance" over price. Many factories are daunted by the complexities of the CE mark and EN fire safety standards. At Fangda Mofang, however, we break this challenge down into two manageable components-material selection and tolerance control-effectively eliminating non-compliance at the source.

1. Prioritizing Fire Rating Selection (EN 13501)
When sourcing raw materials for sandwich panels, we specifically procure rock wool or magnesium oxide (MGO) board materials from top-tier domestic suppliers that meet the EN 13501-1 B-s3, d2 standard or higher (such as Class A2). Crucially, we include the preliminary EN 13501 combustion calorific value test curves directly in the technical appendices of our product brochures. We encourage clients to obtain this baseline data before signing a contract and to consult with an EU Notified Body regarding its acceptability.

2. Equivalent Substitution of Structural Steel to European Standards
Europe adheres to the Eurocodes (EN 1993). When sourcing hot-rolled steel sections, we specifically select Chinese standard (GB) Q235B or Q355B steels that are chemically and mechanically equivalent (in terms of yield strength) to S235JR or S355JR grades. In our structural calculation reports, we specify the actual yield values derived from tensile testing rather than simply citing the GB grade; this allows European structural engineers to plug the data directly into their verification formulas.

3. Scheduling "Notified Body Windows" into Production
For complex products like container pools and modular cafes, we build a 2–3 day "inspection hold" into our production schedule. If a client's authorized representative or a third-party inspection agency (such as TÜV or BV) needs to visit the factory to witness watertightness tests or weld inspections, our production workflow is fully flexible enough to accommodate this, allowing assembly line operations to resume immediately after the inspection is concluded.
