As France gradually relaxes licensing policies for street markets and temporary commercial activities, container coffee shops that can be quickly deployed and flexibly relocated have become a preferred choice for many young entrepreneurs. Customs data shows that in the first quarter of 2025, French buyers have already purchased more food‑service containers from China than the total for the whole of last year. In the latest exported model, water supply, electrical wiring, and exhaust interfaces are pre‑installed inside the container – all that is needed on site is to connect to municipal utilities, with no construction required. Beyond coffee shops, similar conversions are being extended to hamburger stands, ice cream kiosks, and mobile bars. A French buyer who inspected the units commented: "These container stores allow us to capture premium locations at very low start‑up costs during summer music festivals, Christmas markets, and other events. China's design and manufacturing speed are currently the most competitive in the world."
