Graffiti Exterior, Factory-Customized, and Installed in the USA

A 20-foot container café by Chengdu Fangda Mofang-featuring hand-painted graffiti, not decals
We are Chengdu Fangda Mofang. Our factory is located in the Zhaozhen Industrial Park in Jintang County, where we operate a workshop spanning over 20,000 square meters and have specialized in color-coated steel structures and container conversions for over a decade. This 20-foot container café model was originally created for a client in New York who wanted a small shop to sell coffee on a street corner-one that would also light up at night. It has since become a standard export product for the US market. The exterior graffiti, advertising signage, and interior bar counter are all completed at the factory; once shipped, the unit is ready for use simply by connecting the water and electricity.
Our factory customization process
The corrugated steel of a container isn't a flat canvas; spray paint creates variations in light and shadow. When a client sends a graffiti design-whether it's coffee bean patterns, latte art lines, or their brand name-our spray artists first test the colors on scrap steel panels to see how they look in sunlight before applying the final design to the container body. We finish with a clear coat to protect against UV rays and rain. The New York client later hired a local street artist to add holiday-themed graffiti over the original design, proving that our solid base made future modifications easy.

Signage and electrical systems-Pre-wired at the factory for immediate plug-and-play in the USA
We don't leave advertising signage for the client to figure out after arrival. During the factory phase, we embed LED light box wiring directly into the wall panels and leave connection points ready. Clients can choose illuminated lettering, LED strips, or menu light boxes, with placement and voltage (110V/220V) configured to US standards. We use UL-certified components for the distribution box and install US-standard outlets. Upon arrival, a local electrician simply connects the unit to the local grid-no need to dismantle walls or run new wiring.
Interior Layout-With a compact 20-foot space, every inch requires a clear purpose
A 20-foot container offers roughly 13.7 square meters of interior space. Will the client sell only coffee, or pastries as well? Is seating required? Which way should the service counter face? How high should the service window be? These details must be settled during the design phase. We produce 3D renderings, and materials are ordered only after the client gives their approval. Insulation thickness, air conditioner placement, and plumbing are all configured based on the local climate. For instance, we use thicker insulation for the hot summers in Texas, while adding an awning over the entrance for rainy Seattle.

On-site Setup-Transported from the port and assembled in half a day
Containers are shipped via standard ocean freight; staircases and rooftop decks are dismantled and packed inside the unit to avoid taking up extra space. Upon arrival at a US port, the client arranges trucking to the site. On-site assembly primarily involves reattaching the stairs, deck, and awning, and connecting utilities. With a small crew, the job can be finished in half a day to a full day. In Woodland, California, these coffee kiosks are classified as temporary commercial structures; approval is obtained through a zoning administrator permit, making the process much faster than a traditional shop build-out.
Compliance-UL and ADA standards are unavoidable
Electrical regulations in the US are strict. Wiring, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers must be UL-certified; distribution panels require UL 67 certification, and internal components need UL 508A certification. We build units for the US market to these standards, allowing clients to apply for UL 962 or UL 12408 field evaluations after delivery. Regarding ADA compliance, we incorporate features like a service window height of no more than 34 inches and a clear doorway width of 36 inches during the customization phase. We can also adjust the layout if local health departments require accessible seating.

Customization Process-You State Your Needs, We Create Designs, Then We Manufacture
The general process works like this: the client specifies what they plan to sell, the city, the site size, and the desired style. We then produce floor plans and 3D renderings to finalize the graffiti design and the placement of illuminated signage. Next, the factory schedules production-handling painting, insulation, electrical wiring, and bar counter installation. Once completed, we send a video to the client for approval; if everything is in order, the unit is crated and shipped by sea. Upon arrival in the U.S., we provide English installation instructions and can assist the client in communicating technical documentation to local regulatory authorities.
